The World's End

174 Camden High St, Camden Town, London NW1 0NE, UK – 020 7482 1932

Very nice place to get a drink or two with awesome staff and tasty drinks, the connection between underworld and world's end is good from a old style pub to a trendy looking pub in a matter of steps. The Czech beer is a good touch and very tasty the looks are very trendy and good looking. Really good-looking place

Great pub. Friendly staff. Good selection of beers Loved the bar at the back with its outside area and little micro brewery. Highly recommend this as place to stop at before going around Camden market area.

The Princess Of Wales

22 Chalcot Rd, Camden Town, London NW1 8LL, UK – 020 7722 0354

I was there at their monthly Backgammon Club meet up, which occurs upstairs on the last Monday of the month. They don't serve Guinness, but do serve a decent Camden Stout at £4.70. I would recommend it. The food for the most part is pretty good. Friends liked it. However, I left half my seafood linguine with white wine & chive sauce as it was a little undercooked. The ambience is nice and the staff do work hard to do their best.

Great venue, held a baby shower there. Staff couldn't have been more helpful, friendly and accommodating! Live music was also playing. Brilliant night!

The Bucks Head

202 Camden High St, Camden Town, London NW1 8QR, UK – 020 7284 1513

The Bucks Hear is a popular Camden Town Pub serving real ale, lager, wines, spirits and cocktails (they’ve a GIN bar too) … and food. The pub has a vibrant Camden Town buzz about it with special cocktail hours, pub quiz's and guest ales the bar is popular with locals and visitors (can get very busy) with friendly and helpful staff The outside space and view across Camden from their roof terrace is worth a visit, up above the hubbub kick your shoes off and relax with a refreshing cold drink on a hot summer’s day. Outside in Buck Street the pubs roof terrace street art graffiti mural is very popular for photo ops and selfies for visitors and locals.

One of the best places in Camden. Drinks and food are very good. Friendly staff always up for a laugh. They do also a deal with cocktails that's always on. Plus they rotate spirits and have weekly specials.

Wolkite ethiopian Restaurant

82 Hornsey Rd, London N7 7NN, UK – 020 7700 3055

Excellent food. Wonderful atmosphere. In a quiet corner a stone's throw from the Arsenal Stadium. The staff was very nice and attentive . They even answered all of our questions about the food. They're even working on adding soy items to the menu to accommodate the vegan people who eat there. When you do here I highly suggest you get the honey wine.

This place is a true hidden gem nestled near the Emirates stadium. I absolutely adore injera and here I find the most flavoursome food that goes down a treat with the honey wine that they personally make in store. I recommend repeat visits to explore the whole menu. It feels like you're being welcomed in to a family home for the most wonderfully cooked food. I can't recommend this place enough and everyone is so friendly. Deffo go for a visit - you won't regret it!

Daphne

83 Bayham St, Camden Town, London NW1 0AG, UK – 020 7267 7322

Wonderful food, super nice staff. And it's not pricey either. A little gastronomic paradise in busy noisy Camden, tucked away in a Camden backstreet. a fine atmosphere and not trendy (in a good way) - it's just hearty well cooked Greek food that tastes lovely. street, its food for the soul

One of my favourite restaurants in London! Amazing food and very lovely staff. Next time I'm in London, my first visit will be to Daphne to eat their amazing Kleftiko again.

Trangallan London

61 Newington Green, Mildmay Ward, London N16 9PX, UK – 020 3807 4104

Trangallan is a romantic bohemian restaurant serving rustic tapas dishes in the heart of Newington Green, a must for foodies and lovers! The menu changes frequently and offers something different from the standard tapas. Housed inside a former shop, the interiors are homely and welcoming. Outside you will find a few tables and chairs underneath a stripy awning which is perfect for a balmy summer night. Venture inside and it’s an enchanting space filled with vintage furniture. Rustic ladders lean against walls and reclaimed wooden doors are hung behind the bar. Downstairs you’ll find more seating and a place for entertainment. This is a romantic hotspot!

One of the best places around Stoke Newington, with amazing octopus on the menu most of the time! Lovely, friendly staff!

Chinese Restaurants serving the Upper Holloway area

Green Jade

219 Holloway Rd, London N7 8DL, UK – 020 7609 4482

A hidden gem of a place. Whilst the decor is very much "no frills", the food is amazing, and the service is superb too. I recommend the crispy pork with crispy noodles!

Delicious food at an affordable price. My favourite is the roast duck and crispy pork with fried rice.

Round Square Restaurant

132-132a Seven Sisters Road, London N7 7NS, UK – 020 7272 3356

Busy restaurant with a 50:50 split between regular restaurant and karaoke restaurant. Food was pretty good for a Chinese. Great duck and pancakes and steamed sea bass.

I eat here quite often. Food is excellent, particularly if you explore away from the budget menu. Noodle soups are particularly good and great value. I find the service is good, but they aren't big on smiles or have a nice day stuff. But that is fine by me.

NEW HAPPY SWAN CHINESE RESTAURANT

120 Fortis Green Rd, London N10 3HN, UK – 020 8883 2810

Lovely family owned Chinese restaurant and take away. The restaurant itself is quite small and quaintly old school. Food is excellent and usually very fast service. Offers a range of set meals for 2/4/6 people which are good value for money. Staff are always lovely and welcoming. Smashing little place.

My favorite Chinese restaurant. Friendly staff and good food. I've been eating there for years and have never been disappointed

Indian Restaurants and takeaways in or near Upper Holloway

Namaaste Kitchen Indian Restaurant London

64 Parkway, Camden Town, London NW1 7AH, UK – 020 7485 5977

Food was an absolutely incredible experience. We all ordered different dishes and I have got to say they were all amazing. Cocktails impressively executed and a great way to modernise Indian food. The only down side to the experience was the staff not being polite nor attentive.

Stunning food. Top notch service by Sahill and food so good that it put me in a coma for the rest of the night! Try this place!

Masala Zone Camden Town

25 Parkway, Camden Town, London NW1 7PG, UK – 020 7267 8833

I came across it when walking past, and was attracted to the array of beaded suspended lights. The food was refreshingly different and far better than your standard curry house. I tried the grand thali - the collection of little bowls of different dishes, which was all very good. Different flavours and textures, properly cooked and spiced. Staff were attentive and explained the menu well. A bit more expensive than your average curry house, but worth it

I had an amazing experience dining at Masala Zone located at Camden, London. Food was just authentic and very tasty and the cozy ambience with Indian theme added more to the pleasant experience. Manager and staffs were also very courteous and friendly. I highly recommend to visit this restaurant if you are looking for authentic Indian food at London.

Kiplings Indian Restaurant & Bar

2 North Hill, Highgate, London N6 4PU, UK – 020 8340 1719

My husband and I have been eating at Kipling’s for many years, the restaurant service is always great, and the takeaway is always delicious too. We can’t speak for the meat dishes but the veggie/vegan selection is brilliant and they’re always so friendly and answer any questions in a respectful manner. Tonight we sat and chatted with the staff while waiting for our takeaway and it reminded us what a lovely experience Kipling’s always is. Thanks as always!

Food is excellent , starters and mains were lovely! Don’t get desserts, arrived to our table still frozen and tasted funny. The waiters advised that the desserts weren’t made in-house which is fair enough but when we asked to change it for something else, they refused to and made a fuss about it! I thought this was bad customer service on their part.

Italian Pasta and Pizza Restaurants

Antonio's Ristorante

Rear of, 137 Upper St, London N1 1QP, UK – 020 7226 8994

Excellent service and delicious food. We ordered lasagna and cannelloni and they were very tasty. Very good selection of mood music and romantic atmosphere, although a bit smoke-filled.

Got a table for three on a saturday night whitout prebooking. Great pizzas, quiet cheap and fast. Friendly staff. And a quiet place just a bit off the street.

Pasta Remoli Finsbury Park

7 Clifton Terrace, London N4 3JP, UK – 020 7263 2948

Amazing! One of the best Italian restaurant in London! A REAL Italian restaurant where to eat real hand made egg pasta, real Italian sauces and one of the best place to find a proper Italian ingredients with very high quality and right prices for everything! The staff is very friendly and professional and THE BOSS, Simone Remoli is a very kind person, professional and he loves what he’s doing!

Delicious fresh pasta. Love the agnolotti! All other flavours/dishes are delicious too.

Osteria Tufo

67 Fonthill Rd, London N4 3HZ, UK – 020 7272 2911

Everything about this little restaurant is great; the food choice, although limited is excellent, the service is friendly and efficient and you're always made to feel very welcome by the owner Paula (n0t sure if that's the right spelling). I cannot praise this restaurant enough.

Super great service, really amazing setting and the food is great! The portions for the starters and mains are just the right size, and the food itself was delicious! Amazing tortellinis and at a good price!

Vegetarian or Vegan Restaurants

Mildreds Camden

9 Jamestown Rd, Camden Town, London NW1 7BW, UK – 020 7482 4200

One of the best vegan burgers I've ever tried!! Went for the 'Polish' burger which was a party made up mostly of beetroot and wow it was amazing! Friendly, welcoming staff and a laid back atmosphere help make this place a must to come back and try more of the menu! And the cocktails!! I don't drink them much but I very much found myself reaching for the menu again after trying one of them! Definitely recommend :)

Went to Mildreds Camden tonight. And it was the perfect place to be tonight. Had the most wonderful waiter (a young and cute blond hair lad), he was genuinely devoted to us having the most wonderful dinner and vegan experience. And it was incredibly perfect. The food is so scrumptious there and portions are really generous. Will definitely come back to that place. Cheers, from the Frogs 😉

Manna

4 Erskine Rd, Primrose Hill, London NW3 3AJ, UK – 020 7722 8028

Have been to Manna several times. Absolutely love the quality of the food. The atmosphere is so nice that I took my partner here for our first date. She absolutely loved the food, so much so that it helped open up her eyes to becoming vegan. I really like the spaghetti 'meatballs'. She really likes the raw lasagna. You also can't go wrong with the 'bangers' and mash. All foods are presented to a professional standard. Kudos to the chef. We will definitely be back the next time we visit primrose.

A nice place. The food is very good and interesting with plenty of delicious options. The service was also great and very accommodating. I gave 4 stars and not 5 because of the prices. I just don't see a reason why the prices should be so high! Most mains cost 14-15 pounds. The food is good but not that good. You can get fantastic Vegan food for much less money. However, for a special occasion or if you can generally afford more I would recommend giving this place a try.

HealthyWealthy

10 Brecknock Rd, London N7 0DD, UK – 020 7700 0777

I tried small portions of five dishes as I wanted to taste it all, everything looked so good! The spicing and flavours were yum and not a single dish let me down. Hearty food not propped up by onion and chilli, just flavoursome spices, grains, pulses and vegetables. Healthy, happy, delicious food and a welcoming team who let me taste a couple of things before buying.

Friendly and reasonable vegan food

Wine Bars and Cocktail Bars

Little Bat - Islington Bar

54 Islington Park Street, Cocktail Bars Islington, London N1 1PX, UK – 020 7359 6070

Gorgeous interiors, friendly staff and a mix of classic and inventive cocktails. Right now they have really well thought out weekly cocktail specials on select nights based on a rotation of good quality branded liquors. Lucky us, we went during casamigos tequila week and it was delicious! Close to angel, Islington and O2 venue.

I spent my 30th birthday here last night and it was perfect. Really great atmosphere, awesome cocktails and an attentive bar team. Ellie from the booking team was also super nice and made the whole process really easy compared to other places I had contacted. The only reason I haven’t given it 5 stars is I’ve had better cocktails elsewhere for the same price, so perhaps could be seen as tiny bit overpriced if you’re going there for the whole night. But I still loved it and will definitely be going back. The espresso martinis were a particular highlight. Thanks Little Bat team!

The Four Sisters Bar

25 Canonbury Ln, Islington, London N1 2AS, UK – 020 7226 0955

Small cocktail bar located in a nice area. I was drawn to it because of the good reviews and I was curious to give it a try. I was not really impressed by its decor and the negroni I ordered was kind of bland. Prices were the usual ones. I do not think I would come back

I love the Four Sisters! The team here really know their drinks, too. The menu gets refreshed regularly so there's usually something new you haven't tried. Well worth a visit!

Fifty Five Bar

31 Jamestown Rd, Camden Town, London NW1 7DB, UK – 020 7424 9054

Went here for a friends birthday a couple of weeks ago during happy hour. I think it was £6 per cocktail or something. We all tried different cocktails although I think it has to be 2 of the same. They gave my friend a shot of something green as it was her birthday. It’s a little small and gets very noisy but the Oreo cocktail is very tasty! I’d go back to taste that again!

Honestly an amazing experience, I was served by an amazing bartender who recommended that I try the 'zombie'. It was absolutely fantastic. I definitely recommend it to any passers by.
