my son went here for 8 months I recommend Kayley she really helped me settle my son in and looked after him well. They were very flexible and my son loved it. A very good nursery (and I looked at many and didn't like whether private or state) I didn't want him to leave a very good independent nursery.

I'm don't have any experience of knowledge about the actual school, but my swim club meets in their pool facilities sometimes. It's a fantastic pool, as well as being well maintained, including the changing rooms.
Great local swimming pool

I think it’s the best school in the world. The children are treated nicely and the teachers are incredible. Eleanor Palmer is one of the best schools in Camden.

A unique and exceptional school with a dedicated and experienced staff and wonderful, supportive, friendly families. The Cavendish is non selective and yet secures outstanding results for its girls within a framework of incredible pastoral care and without the pressure of 'hot house' schools. It places huge emphasis on kindness, tolerance and courtesy. Its families are dedicated to the school and are actively involved. Unusually, it has specialist teachers for science, music, languages, PE and art. Delicious, home made meals are cooked every day and an exciting array of extra curricular activities are available. The school itself is beautifully maintained and provides a happy, high quality learning environment. My best advice would be to come and see the school in action and judge for yourself. A little gem.
We have two daughters at the Cavendish, one in year 3 and one in year 6 (who has just left). Our experience of the school has been incredibly positive; both children always look forward to going to school and have never once expressed any reluctance during the last 8 years to leave the house in the morning. We chose the school because it was non selective and claimed to offer a strong a pastoral ethos with good academic results. Our experience is that it has delivered both in spades! What particularly impresses me about the school is the quality of the teaching and how they continually adapt it to the needs of the individual child. My two daughters are very different in how they learn and what their natural strengths are; I cannot praise the school enough for how they have personalised their approach to them and helped both of them to achieve their academic potential. We also wanted a school that had a strong science and maths curriculum and I have never failed to be impressed by the quality and sophistication of the maths and science they are doing. The homework policy feels well balanced and pitched just right for their age. My elder daughter, on leaving the school, has developed a good work ethic when it comes to homework which I feel has set her up perfectly for secondary school. The school is very friendly; we have built good relationships with parents not just from our daughters’ classes but from across other years groups as well. Unlike many other schools the meals are cooked and prepared in the school kitchen and are healthy, varied, and nutritious. Under the leadership of the previous head the school achieved and outstanding inspectors’ reports (excellent in all areas) which particularly commended the quality of the teaching and which we felt was well deserved. Under the new head the school has not rested on its laurels and has been striving to improve its academic performance still further; certainly the current year 6 have achieved an impressive range of offers from the top north London secondary schools. This is a lovely school, I could not think of a better place to send my daughters.

It provided a liberal and yet a traditional educational for our son! Music and Classics were well taught and encouraged to complement the common curriculum. Sport was encouraged but not compelled onto the tardy! Provided an all round Liberal English Education. A.C.

My two children attend Rosemary Works and couldn’t be happier. It is a small, nurturing and creative school, which feels more like a village primary in the heart of London. The teaching is high quality and the class sizes mean they have ample attention. The children have the opportunity to do interesting and varied activities and trips, from forest school to orienteering. It is absolutely worth a visit and speaking to current parents (previous reviewers have completely missed the USP of the school!) to find out more.
Both of our sons absolutely love going to school every morning. In the school's informal, friendly and flexible environment children do very well academically out of real interest and self confidence rather then simply a sense of discipline and obligation. Children are encouraged to think independently and creatively, and to voice their ideas, thoughts and opinions which will be heard and actually considered in matters ranging from lunch menu to learning subjects. Simply a great school.
